From White Dog Studio- Best of the Northwest Spring Show

3/25/14

Fragments
I will be at the Best of the Northwest Spring Art Show featuring some new pieces and designs. "Fragments" is a group of story vignettes reminiscent of a tapestry fragment or part of a story. Each piece starts with pile of clear chipped scrap glass in random shaped heaps which is then heated in the kiln until it becomes a flat one of a kind shape. I trace part of an image onto the glass with glass powder paste filling in the shapes with hand mixed colors. The image is fired in the kiln twice to produce a unique story.

From White Dog Studio- Announcement- Summer Art Fair

8/7/13

Eye to Eye
I am excited to participate in the 2013 Fresh Paint Art Festival. I will be exhibiting in booth #62 along the Everett Marina waterfront. Please stop by my booth and say hi.

75 artists will be sharing painting, pottery, glass, jewelry, photography & much more.

The entire length of the promenade will be filled with more artists than ever, turning the Everett Marina into a huge outdoor studio and sidewalk gallery.

Ask anything you want to know about art, making art, and what it is like to be an artist.

From White Dog Studio- Introducing my new design- Topo

4/27/13

Topo Wave Sculpture
My "Topo" design refects the topographical landscape changes on the earth. Each design is hand-colored with mixed frits to create bright gradients of color. I have posted new pieces in the "New Work" gallery and have added another gallery showing an overview of my process in "Making Waves".

From White Dog Studio- Launching my Website

3/2/13

Welcome to my website. I am excited to share with you my artwork and my inspirations. Please browse my site. I would love for you to share your feedback/comments. Expect the site to change over time as I tweak the layout and add new content.

I am a Pacific NW artist working out of my home studio with my dog Moby at my side (except when I run some of my saws or grinders- he is not a fan of loud noises). I am fortunate every day to have the time and space to spend my energy to create things I love. I look forward to sharing this adventure with you.
